How the Role of Women Has Changed

Posted by Cebong Ipiet at 10:26 PM
In the past, women were largely seen as inferior to men. The typical way of life of families, of women to stay home while men worked, and was accepted way of life for both parties. Although some generalizations there is still much that has changed, especially in the last hundred years.

Ten years ago, and I thought the women there are not even eligible to vote. In the twentieth century, the situation began to change, however. Many protests were held among women seeking the right to vote, and this resulted in the fact that they were entitled to vote in 1918. But even then it was only women over 21, who could vote, and the age limit for men was 18. It was not until 1928 for women to have voting rights. The rights of women around the council will continue to grow so far.

The old life was very difficult in terms of gender roles, and most people live in accordance with the present. The role of women was to marry, have children and spend their days at home caring for children and do housework. The workplace almost exclusively male.

How women in the workplace can be attributed to the Second World War. A large number of men involved in the fight against the values were less available for work in their regular work. This woman means had to intervene and have worked in factories during this period. Many liked the feeling of freedom and wanted to continue when the war ended.

After that, women began to want their lives and not only wants to take their place in society. This has led to more women working, the time devoted to something that is especially great in 1960. Their role in society as a whole has become more important in many areas. Much of this is the emergence of feminism, women want to be equal to men.

Women in those days, tend to me more independent. They want from their lives and want to choose how to live. This could be a time that statistics of divorce cases increasing in the last fifty years. Women do not just accept things as they are, if you are unhappy in marriage, that will not take it. Could this be a positive increase of divorce for women? This independence also means more than one wife.

These days, women are generally treated equally to men, though some argue that this is not always the case. They tend to manage their own lives and live as they want, without lockers of society. They had great expectations about what they want out of life. Some want to stay at home mom in the traditional sense, but they have more choice.
